Did you know that you can report incidences of crime via the live web chat function of Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s website?
Residents should use the live web chat to report crimes that are not “happening now or where someone is in immediate danger.” These might include theft, driving offences, vandalism, anti-social behaviour and nuisance. The option is an alternative to reporting issues online or by phone using 101, and police say that issues reported via the web chat function are likely to be handled “much faster”.
MP Ian Sollom and local representatives of the police have previously urged people in Histon and Impington to “report, report, report”, when it comes to anti-social behaviour and issues affecting the local community.
The chat can also be used to get an update on something that has already been reported.
The live chat can be accessed from any page of Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s website here by selecting the blue ‘live chat’ icon in the bottom right of the screen.
