‘Older driver workshops’ keep drivers on the road for longer

-

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service are offering drivers aged 65 and over the chance to attend one of their Older Driver Workshops. The free sessions are designed to help drivers stay driving safely and for longer.

The workshops are taking place in seven locations across Cambridgeshire as well as online between July and October and are aimed at reminding drivers of simple checks they can do at home to ensure they are fit to drive.

The interactive, two-hour, sessions take the form of group discussions and cover topics including age-related changes to eyesight; how to conduct a vehicle check; information on licence renewal and alternatives to driving.
