Mark Critoph has stepped down as joint manager of Histon FC’s Men’s First team after just one season in the role – but the Bridge Road club says that he will remain a key member of the Histon FC management community.
With Critoph stepping back for personal reasons, Matt Payne becomes the sole First team manager and Nick Hurst will step up as his assistant.
A spokesperson for the club said: “The Club Board give their full support to Matt and his new management team and wish them every success over the coming months.”
Off to a difficult start
Payne will be looking to turn the fortunes of the First Team around – and improve on results so far this season that have seen the team lose three matches in a row and succumb to an early exit from the FA Cup against Cornard United.
Meanwhile newly-promoted Histon FC Women’s First Team are unbeaten in their first three games in the Eastern Region Premier Division.
