An exclusive preview night ahead of the official Histon Beer Festival is offering ticketholders an early taste of what’s in store for the community this autumn.
Taking place on Sunday 6 September between 5pm and 7pm, and with just 100 tickets up for grabs, this early bird event will give attendees an opportunity to sample the beers, meet the organising team/festival sponsors and gather some tasting tips from the experts for the week ahead.
Entry to this select event is just £25 and includes:
- Souvenir glass + entry to the festival for the full week
- 6 x 1/3 pint beer/cider samplers
- Festival programme
- Beer-paired snacks
- Quiz with beer token prizes
- 20% off additional festival drinks during preview
- First chance to try the beers at their best
- Expert advice from the team
T-shirts will also be available for sale at the event for £15.
The perfect gift
Alternatively, the team is offering a ‘buy ahead’ bundle for £35 which includes both the preview event and a festival T-shirt. An ideal gift for a loved one or perfect for Father’s Day.
Talking to HI HUB, festival organiser Colin Myles said: “This event is the perfect opportunity to come and meet the festival team without the crowds. There will be a bit of a quiz about the festival, beer related snacks and 20% off all drinks during that evening.
“This year’s event logo and t-shirt design is a nod to the World Cup. Get your t-shirt early and show it off throughout this summer of football – in particular at the HI Friends’ Fanzone and other Rec Centenary events in June where you’ll find the Beer Festival bar on tour!
“For years the team has been teasing Festival Chair Don Kelly that we should open Sunday night as the beer is in pristine condition and ready to go. Finally, after much arm twisting he has relented and the Sunday select preview night is here!”
Preview event tickets will be on sale Saturday 13 June at Histon’s Red Lion between 10am and 1pm. First come, first served. Limited tickets remaining. 2025 volunteers receive a £5 discount.
Histon Beer Festival general admission runs from Monday 7 to Saturday 13 September. Stay informed of updates and news via the festival website.
