Residents are being asked for their views on the role ‘Micromobility’ transport will play in how they get around in the future.
Micromobility refers to small, lightweight vehicles designed for short-distance travel, often moving at lower speeds, such as e-bikes and e-scooters.
People can share their thoughts in the Micromobility Strategy Engagement Survey, which is open for responses until Wednesday 4 March.
Flexible travel options
The survey, which is being run by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) offers residents the chance to influence how “accessible and flexible” travel options are developed for communities across the region.
The findings will support the creation of a new Micromobility Strategy to reflect “the priorities of residents, workers, and visitors”.
Lightweight micromobility vehicles include bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, and cargo bikes. They can be human-powered or electric, shared or personally owned. Cars, vans, mopeds, and motorcycles are not considered micromobile.
CPCA said: “Micromobility plays an increasingly important role in sustainable transport, helping reduce congestion, improve air quality, and offer flexible travel choices.”
The survey aims to understand how people across the area currently use micromobility, what improvements can be made, and how they’d like to use it in the future.
For more details on the survey which is open until midnight on 4 March 2026, click here. Respondents do not need to be current micromobility users to take part, and anyone aged 16 or over can complete the survey.
