Histon & Impington Parish Council is seeking suggestions from village residents about possible improvements to the play area located on the corner of South Road and Mill Road Impington.
In a letter to residents in streets nearby, and in a post on their website, Councillor Christopher Hobbs invites interested parties to a meeting at South Road playground to discuss ideas on Tuesday 19 May at 5.30pm.
His letter states that the intention is “not to alter the space and the way it is used, but to give it a face lift”.
Options being considered include replacement of play equipment, possible addition of new play equipment, repairs/replacement of existing goalposts, hedging maintenance and the addition of wildlife friendly planting beds.
Anyone with ideas or suggestions is invited to attend the meeting or to submit their thoughts by email to helpdesk@hisimp-pc.gov.uk. Residents can also send comments by letter directly to Histon & Impington Parish Council at the Parish Offices, New Road, Impington. CB24 9LU. Please mark the envelope ‘South Road Playground’.
Input is required by close of business on 15 May.
