Celebrating the success of Independent News Week 2026, HI HUB invites you all to join us on Friday 25 September for our first ever fundraising quiz night!
Taking place at the St Andrew’s Centre from 7.30pm, this fun night of quizzing will offer an opportunity to show off your general knowledge skills, test your memory of the stories we have covered over the last twelve months and, very importantly, boost our ever depleting funds helping to keep you, our community, connected into the future.
No News is Bad News
Launched in 2024, Indie News Week is an initiative organised by the Public Interest News Foundation (PINF) and offers independent news outlets such as HI HUB an opportunity to come together to raise awareness nationally of the important role local news plays in keeping communities informed and engaged; strengthening democracy, connecting communities and holding power to account.
The third annual public campaign took place this year in June and was very well supported by our village residents. We would like to thank everyone who supports HI HUB by donating to our work. Every £ makes a difference.
Everyone loves a quiz!
Come and help us celebrate another great year of HI HUB! Just £2 per person – teams of up to six people. Bring your favourite snacks, a drink or two and a bunch of friends for what’s lining up to be a great night out in support of HI HUB.
Can’t make the quiz? You can still support our work. Consider subscribing or making a one-off donation, or maybe sign up as a sponsor? Sponsors get to enjoy high quality editorials published on HI HUB and listed in our weekly newsletter – if your business could use a little extra help reaching its local community, get in touch!
