As part of its efforts to tackle violence against women and girls (VAWG) Cambridgeshire Constabulary is asking female runners how safe they feel when out running in the region.
Females in Histon and Impington are sought to share their experiences in the anonymous survey, which the police force say will help inform an upcoming campaign for “safer, more supportive running environments”.
Questions are aimed at finding out more about women’s running habits – such as, whether they run alone, what time of day they feel comfortable running, and whether they wear headphones.
The survey also seeks the views of female runners from Cambridgeshire about issues including harassment, cat-calling and feeling unsafe.
The closing date for responses is Friday 11 September and Cambridgeshire Constabulary is also looking into launching a survey seeking the views of male runners.

If you have been involved in an incident which made you feel unsafe while out running, report it to Cambridgeshire Constabulary here.
