Staff and residents at Etheldred House care home in Histon are celebrating achieving the top rating of ‘excellent’ in a recent social care inspection.
To achieve the ‘excellent’ rating, the care home in Clay Street, Histon was judged to have demonstrated exceptional standards in involvement and information; personalised care and support; safeguarding and safety; suitability of staffing and quality of management.
Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) ratings are aimed at ensuring that care providers meet required standards and deliver high-quality services to individuals in need, and inspections help to identify opportunities for improvement as well as areas where a home is performing well.
The accolade follows Etheldred House’s award last year in recognition of the quality of its end-of-life care.
Dedication and compassion
Care Home Manager, Santall Horn welcomed the inspection results: “This achievement is a reflection of the dedication, compassion, and professionalism shown every day by our entire team.
“I am incredibly proud of the care we provide and the positive difference we make to the lives of residents and their families.
“We would like to thank residents, relatives, and colleagues for their continued trust and support. This recognition inspires us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do.”
