Early proposals for a new building to accommodate laboratories and offices at the Evolution Business Park have been submitted.
An outline planning application is being reviewed for the scheme, and will be discussed at the Parish Council’s next Planning & Development Committee on Tuesday (21 July).
A Design and Access statement submitted alongside the application explains the proposals “represent the next phase in the development” of the site in Milton Road, Impington.

The 1.7-acre site for the building is located north-west of the existing business park and its existing use is described as “greenfield land” on the application. The building’s design has been considered to accommodate “a range of future occupiers and operational requirements”.
The Design and Access statement says: “The proposal would respond to continued demand for flexible office, laboratory and research accommodation by delivering additional employment floorspace within the business park.
“It would bring forward an undeveloped parcel of land, contributing to the ongoing implementation of the wider masterplan and supporting the continued development of Evolution Business Park.”
The plans can be viewed on the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service website using the application reference 26/02541/OUT.
