The group – and their resident dog, Pip – will be walking through Cambridge at sunset, joining in with the Star Shine Night Walk 2026 on Saturday 20 June, in aid of the care home’s chosen charity of the Year. The ‘Bramley Ramblers’ are aiming to meet their fundraising target of £500 via donations to their JustGiving page.

The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition as well as those who need end-of-life care.

“A meaningful challenge” for a great cause

A spokesperson for Bramley Court said: “We are especially proud of our residents for taking on this challenge and being part of such a meaningful community event. Their enthusiasm, determination and team spirit have been incredible.

“This event is about far more than fundraising. It’s about bringing people together, creating special memories, promoting wellbeing and showing that age should never stop anyone being part of something meaningful and ambitious!”
