Barley Mow back in business!

-

Histon pub, the Barley Mow, is set to re-open under new ownership this Saturday, 25 April.

The pub has seen several changes over the last few years, beginning with the retirement of landlady of 30 years, Dore McCann in October 2023 and subsequent major refurbishment works. In March 2025, less than a year after taking over the pub, Lyndsey and Mark Ward departed with a series of different managers taking charge since.

Now, following a brief closure, this village local is back in business.

New owners Mishah and Chelsea have been working on carrying out a few alterations before opening this weekend. The duo also run a pub in March called The Acre where they have been for two years. Talking to HI HUB they said: “We cannot thank everyone enough for their support so far. Whether it’s on our social media pages or in person, the welcome has been incredible. We can’t wait for you all to enjoy The Barley Mow”.

Latest updates include an outside bar, pizza oven offering fresh pizza with their signature 72hr dough as well as other fresh Italian inspired dishes and sides.
